Sheather & Merrigan Business Equipment
was established in 1979 by the current owner Phil Merrigan and John
Sheather (now retired). During this period of nearly 30 years, our
company has only represented the one brand. That brand is Canon.
Sheather & Merrigan has grown to become one of Canon
Australia’s largest and most respected regional Business
Partners. Our customers cover a wide variety of the business community
from government, education, mining, manufacturing, to retail and
agriculture.
Sheather & Merrigan employ some thirty
full-time staff. We are proud of the fact that many of our staff are
long-term employees and have been with us for as long as 20 years. This
puts us in an enviable position of holding a substantial bank of
knowledge and experience, which is represented to our customers in the
form of quality service.
The regions we cover with the very popular Canon products are;
Newcastle, Hunter Valley and the Central Coast with our head office
being located in our purpose built premises at Wickham. To better
support our Central Coast customers, we also built an office at West
Gosford in 2005.
In early 2007 we welcomed to the Sheather & Merrigan Group an
IT & Networking company, called Newcastle OnSite IT. This was a
necessary transition due to the rapid change from traditional office
equipment into the ever-changing world
of digital technology.
